Permanent position!

From the 1st of January I will no longer be a temp, no longer a substitute – I will have a permanent full time position as pre-school teacher! Papers signed! I love my life!

For me, getting this position so soon in my career, and in such a good place as the school I’m working at, is a great confirmation that I’m doing something good! Both that I’m doing a good job – and that I’m doing something that feels and IS right in my life. After all – I couldn’t do a good job if it wasn’t right for me. ^^

The great move!

I’ve finally set up the computer in the new house!

The move has gone allright. I’m a bit exhausted though, but that could also be the result of starting work again after a 4 week holiday. <D

The house is BIG! The first day I was like “Wow, it takes forever to get anywhere in this place!”. XD It is utterly awesome to have such a big place though! I’ve even got my own “atelier”! <3 And think of all the photo shoot possibilities! And I’ve got wardrobes! I’ve got somewhere to HANG all my precious latex – no longer will I have to stuff it in a small drawer!

Plus – we’ve got a garden! <3

I’ll post better photos soon, but here’s some snapshots from my Instagram and Facebook:

Degree of Bachelor of Education

Doesn’t that sound snazzy? And I can has it! It’s there, black on white!

When I started the program, eons ago, I was aiming at teaching for high school/upper secondary school/senior high school – I have studied for over 5 years! And suddenly, I get a temp job at a pre-school and I realize that’s all I want to do!

Wow, it’s all happening now!

GOT THE JOB!

Oh! By the way – I GOT THAT FRAKIN JOB!!! I still don’t think it has sunk in… I will be working full time at another pre-school for a year, with paid vacation this summer! I will also have the chance to  permanent employment after that year! HAPPI HAPPI HAPPI!!!

I am utterly pleased with my life right now! You know how your life sometimes seems to be on hold, because you’re finishing studies, looking for a job… It just feels like a plug has been pulled and everything finally is falling into place in my life. I’m moving up in the job department – actually earning more than juuust enough to live on, I’m completing my studies (I’ve applied for my diploma), I’m getting my driver’s licence and me and Robbie might move to a house this fall.

*Happy sigh*

(Needless to say – there will be new latex investments! ;D)

Job interview

I’ve got another job interview on monday! *EBM dance*

My current job is only a temp job until June 1st, so I’ve gotta find something more permanent. I’m actually educated to be teaching Swedish and Religion at the Swedish “Gymnasium” - what would be the Swedish equilavent to high school / upper secondary school (16-19 year-olds). But after working as a temp in pre-schools, I’m kinda leaning towards staying there. <D

My week

It’s been a busy week and some days I haven’t even turned on the computer when I got home, mainly to get stuff done. So this is a summary of some of the highlights of my week.

I’ve worked a lot, but I love my job and since the weather has been super I’ve been loving it even more. Some photos to represent why I love my job:

You can fix anything with tape - even a unicorns horn!

Someone donated an MLP Pretty Parlor. ENVY!

Simulating the end of an era.

One of my co-workers went to Spain last year and visited a pre-school there, she said that all the teachers wear like sweats in Spain – can anyone tell me if that’s really true and if so why? I can agree that a certain comfort is needed, (this is what I wear) – but why sweats? Who wears sweats to work? To me it seems a little unprofessional, so I guess there’s a special reason, like a policy, or is it  a uniform? This is what I wear:

Also, after a dry winter of broken nails (I just didn’t bother oiling them) I finally got my nails somewhat even – so I painted them! Used: IsaDora Wonder Nail 629 Icy Purple and IsaDora Graffiti Nail Top 814 Mad Blue. Need to use my nail oil more often, don’t like the look of those cuticles and if it gets colder and drier again my nails will surely crack and brake again! My sister the nail scupltress will kill me! XD

I’m also trying to change my diet a little, more fresh fruits and vegetables! I changed the low sugar jam in my yoghurt to frozen strawberries (and apples) – it’s like frakin candy! And quite the luxury if you compare the prices of jam and frozen berries, the price was the only reason I had jam anyway, but sometimes you need to make sacrifices – right!? Cut my bangs on Thursday. ^^

On Friday I went shopping for a birthday gift, also took home three pockets: Murakami’s Norwegian Wood and 1Q84, plus Jane Eyre.

Friday night Robbie took me to see Mission:Impossible – Ghost Protocol. I believe in taking stuff for what they are. Personally I didn’t like the story line that much, but there was quite a few nerve wrecking moments and I litterally was at the edge of my seat during the climb of Burj Khalifa! So pretty ok movie, it was entertaining – as a movie should be! I wouldn’t buy the Bluray though. Ps. I like to really dress up when I go to the movies, I wore latex leggings.

And yesterday we celebrated a friend who just turned 30. I felt really old though, at 22:00 I was dead tired and I just stepped out of my clothes and fell in to bed when we got home around 23:00.
